However, there just may come a time when a pregnant woman would become insomniac. You may think that this is not possible, but it actually is. This can also lead to bouts of insomnia. If this happens, you can add another pillow so that your head can be placed in a propped position. This makes breathing easier. Another thing you can do is to sleep on your side, with a pillow inserted between the legs. This position gives your spine more alignment, and the baby is given more room as well. Also, make sure to drink a glass of warm milk before you go to bed. Warm milk contains certain chemicals that can very well induce sleep. Aside from warm milk, you can try adding 2 teaspoons of honey to a cup of warm water. This has also been proven effective in alleviating insomnia.
